Acropora Coral Aqualculture Acropora and other SPS is physically easy to propagate, but the technical requirements are a bit more intense. Propagation can be accomplished by breaking off branches nearest to the base, in fact the colony will sacrifice those for expansion naturally so your helping along the process.

Acropora CoralSpecial Considerations Acropora corals and Montipora are very popular with the most advanced reef keepers. I have found growth to be at it's best for Acropora Coral when they are attached firmly in the display. Not just attached to a plug, but for the plug itself to be secure in the rockwork.
