Ricordea Aqualculture While the propagation of expensive Ricorida Yuma can be very intimidating the rewards are unmeasured. The specimens are virtually unobtainable at this point. Beginning propagation with Green Ricordia Florida may be a good first step. They respond well and heal quickly. Isolate the fragments in a chamber with good water movement and check them daily.

Ricordea Special Considerations While Most Ricordia Florida will do very well in bright light the Yuma counterparts will not. As a rule of thumb as darker colored specimen in the Ricordia family light green and below need to be placed in a less intense lighting situation. While orange to red Ricordia Yuma and Ricorida Florida will color up in bright light, Green Purple and the darker specimens will just melt.
