Soft Coral Aqualculture Soft Coral like the Clavularia above or any Leather Coral for that matter is a perfect place to begin with Aquaculture. You can take a cutting of nearly any Specimen and wedge it into a small rock or plug and place them in medium current to high current. The cutting should adhere in just a few weeks. If possible keep these Soft Coral fragments in a mono specific tank.

Soft Coral Special Considerations While most Green and Brown Soft Corals do very well in low light conditions, Yellow Soft Corals require allot of light. In addition it's very important to provide Soft Corals with a good amount of current which will rid them of waste product daily. Without good circulation Soft Corals tend to become infected from bacteria build up in the dead tissue that is not be exported.
